Copies of marriage records can be obtained from the New Jersey Department of Health Office of Vital Statistics. Divorce records can be requested from the Middlesex County Family Court. Birth and death records are also available from the Vital Statistics Office.

You can submit an open records request for other county records. An open records request is simply an official request to view particular public government or agency documents. There is a portal through the county website to search most records online. If you cannot locate a record, you can contact the department directly. Records from the Board of Commissioners can be requested from the Clerk of the Board.

Deeds, which are legal documents regarding the ownership of property or legal rights, can be obtained from the County Clerk, too. In this county, the Clerk also functions as the Register of Deeds. Deed records can be found online through the County Clerk’s website.
